Martina Magenau Jacobs worked as the Carnegie Mellon University Director of Alumni Relations at Heinz College. William F. Jacobs Jr. is her father. Lebanon. She is of French German Irish Scottish descent. In 1847, her family created the Jackson Koehler Eagle Brewery located in Erie Pennsylvania. John Martin Magenau Jr. acted as its COO and President until 1978 when it was shut down. Jacobs started her acting studies when she was just eight years young and attended Saturday acting classes at The Pittsburgh Playhouse. She performed at the Pittsburgh Public Theater, where she was crowned the winner of the Public's Shakespeare Monologue Contest many times. After graduating from Mt. Lebanon High School, in the year 2000, Jacobs was able to move to New York City New York to study at the Juilliard School where she was an active member of Drama Division's Group 33. Her bachelor's was awarded in 2004.
